Re: Europe 72 Grrrrr |
Not looking for a windfall. Want to pay for just one and send the rest back. But everytime I order from these guys it's screwed. How the hell do they run a business. They won't even talk to me anymore. But if the status quo remains...9 of you forumites are getting a Christmas present.

Re: Europe 72 Grrrrr |
Windfall might imply that you would keep them without payment. If you were shipped 10 units, then logic would reason that you'll be billed for ten units. Vendors really don't want the hassle of returned merchandise.
Shipments = Billings = Payments.
If you read my previous post correctly, the operative word is "invest". There's no fraud in paying for what you received.

Re: Europe 72 Grrrrr |
Mine arrived today - but I have yet to see a charge even though I got an email a few weeks back saying that after they charged me that they would send it. If they don't, well well well. If they do, I think I may have some buyer's remorse. At least my "personalized" greeting is not very personal...

I can't understand how all of us have received this box without paying for it yet! Astounding way to run a business, they're crazy, or more likely, just sloppy from all the tales related here lately.
No remorse here - this is a very enjoyable package.

Re: Europe 72 Grrrrr |
I need a miracle!! HaHa. Although I couldn't think of a more deserving person, I'm sure there are many here. Good luck with getting it all resolved with no stress and get on to your listening enjoyment. By the way, I think if you bought it on the card, the banks usually insure the whole transaction against mistakes, etc, so maybe you could even pass the issue over to them if you have no joy with Dead.Net.

What a surprise!
Karmically void Kochman advocates stealing from the Grateful Dead...

Re: Europe 72 Grrrrr |
I'm not stealing. I'm trying to give them back. They can't see how this possibly could have happened. But it did. I just want mine. And I want to listen to it. But I don't really know which one to open and the financial ramifications. It seems they don't want them back but what the hell am I going to do with them. I will not sell them. They are not mine.

Don't worry, we know that you are not Kochman!
It just seems so fitting that he would recommend that you steal from the Grateful Dead...

Re: Europe 72 Grrrrr |
I sure hope you understand that Cliff was not accusing you of stealing; I think your intentions are clearly stated and honorable. That said, I share your sense of frustration at how they are running things from a business stand point and how they respond, or fail to respond, to inquiries re the same.
Also, the muzak while on hold yesterday before I hung up without leaving a message was a bit much.

Re: Europe 72 Grrrrr |
I just don't understand--selling something for more than you paid for it isn't stealing. Heck, if people didn't do that, I'd never get to eat strawberries!
And I don't see how it changes matters that you unintentionally bought them for less than the current going rate. Assuming they actually did have you down for ten sets, then that's ten of the 7200 they made. If you give them back, they'd have to open up orders again on a product that's supposed to be sold out. Or maybe they'll sell them on ebay themselves and take the profit that should have been yours.
